.Welcome to SHOWCASE 2025, our annual celebration of teaching, learning and achievement in dance. First and foremost I acknowledge the many kaiako, tauira and kaikanikani who have enriched the dance program contributing to a living legacy of education through movement, time and space. This evening you will witness three new works created by Louise Pōtiki Bryant, Xin Ji, Tori Manley-Tapu and Aloali’i Tapu. Ngā mihi nui Louise, Xin, Tori and Aloali’i for your wonderful work. It has been a privilege to observe you in the studio over the last 6 weeks, demonstrating embodied excellence and heartfelt generosity to our tauira. All four choreographers are Unitec Dance alumni, we couldn’t be prouder!
