Abstract
Results from a previously funded project, monitoring space temperatures in a house constructed by students, indicated that the roof space achieved extremely high temperatures. It was hypothesised that the high roof space temperatures was acting as a radiant heat source for the living spaces and would impact significantly on the overall internal space temperature. Reduction of these temperature extremes in the roof space would reduce the instances of uncomfortably high internal temperatures in the living spaces.
