Abstract
有关近代中国的音乐留学生，学界一般都多将视野集中在２０世纪初年负笈日本 的沈心工、王鸿年、曹汝锦、曾志忞、萧友梅等人，而对较早赴美国学习音乐的留学生却很少提 及。文章以１９００年至１９１０年间两度赴美国专攻音乐的福州女留学生谢绍英为例，考察清末 国人在美国学习西洋音乐的经历及其学成归国后的音乐教育活动和中美音乐交流的情况。 关键词：谢绍英；清末留美乐人；康纳尔学院；华南女大
