Abstract
Walking in its symbolic form could be considered as humans first aesthetic act, initiating order in chaos or the void (te kore) and transformational of the spaces traversed. Eventually these early human journeys became rituals, processions, sacred paths, pilgrimages and narratives, taking on a functionality or purpose separate from what we consider arts practice today
